Ahhhh, March 8th memories… International Women’s Day, the start of spring, yellow mimosa flowers given to women AND girls. Not in a romantic gesture but in solidarity (because yellow=solidarity). But that was back in Russia.

Regardless, the kids brought flowers to their teachers today + cards to explain what March 8th is. I have to swing by the store and pick up two yellow bouquets for the two babushkas in my life (Lyuba and Tanya, moms of my friends).

This weekend is a bit busy but pleasantly so.

Saturday is gymnastics, then L’s first piano lesson, then T and I are going to the movies (sitter is booked!).

Sunday is the usual (laundry, cleaning, cooking) but then we are meeting my sister-friend H in her town for a St. Patrick’s Day parade in the afternoon. Oh, and daylight-savings time. Gah.

Flowers for Lyuba
And for Tanya

Happy belated women’s day! I am noticing on those flower drop off pics that it looks kind of warm there! Are you guys into spring already over there? We definitely have tulips and daffodils blooming, which remind me of childhood and are quintessentially spring in my mind.

It has been rainy but on Friday it was lovely! Spring is my least favorite season, but every year I forget that I actually do like it :))

That was kind of you to give flowers to others! My company had an event but it was at 7CST or something like that… so not easy for a working parent with young kids to attend. It was virtual so I could have listened from the car but that isn’t a great experience when you are doing drop off at school/daycare.

You guys did have a busy weekend! We had something each day but not too much. The highlight was meeting Kae in person today!! We gabbed for 90 min and I feel like we barely scratched the surface on what we could have discussed!
