Happy Leap day! An extra day to do what you love. As I get older, time passes faster so having this extra day to be here feels special. Even if it’s just a regular day.

February 2024. After looking at my mind map, I see that February went well, overall. It wasn’t a fast month and, honestly, I didn’t want it to be. I don’t want none of the months to just slip away. The only area that was a disappointment-exercise! No surprise there. I honestly don’t even know why I bother including it.

My word of the year is connection and I made an effort in that area. I met up with colleagues multiple times, even with co-workers from my prior district! Went to see a dance performance, saw my 3 close friends, had drinks with H (a sister-friend), had two dates with T. Went to a three day conference! Was reaching out to my mom group. Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day and T’s birthday were highlights of this month.

March 2024

We do not have a lot going on in March. Saving the energy for our upcoming Paris trip at the end of the month. But I do want to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and International Women’s Day. But please don’t think it’s gonna be something glamorous! 🤣

St. Patrick’s – wear green, make boiled dinner. T makes a leprechaun trap with the kids.

March 8th- stop by the store, pick up yellow (solidarity) flowers. Give a flower to female teachers and my two Russian friends, and, most importantly, their moms, Tanya and Lyuba.

How is March looking for you? How was February?

Wow, a lot happened to you in a short month! I love seeing it all on one page like that; it really puts things into perspective. I feel like a lot happened to me too but I don’t really have it all listed in one place. I should do that, as I am sure I will be surprised how much I got done, even when each day itself does not feel like that sometimes.

I am looking forward to March; once again, I will have a lot happening and for some things, I want to get them over with and for others I can’t wait for them to happen!

I’m so glad that you a February full of good things, Daria! Having a trip to Paris to look forward to is a real treat! My February was long and overwhelming, and I’m hoping March will be better!

February was fine. Honestly, the weather was weird, which made everything feel unsettled, but overall it was fine. I struggle with SAD during the winter and sometimes Jan-March can be tough, but so far I’m doing okay and that’s honestly better than I expected!!

February was another really full month for me. Highs were celebrating my birthday by going on a date, attending book club this past week and my shoudless day! March got off to a fun start as I was off with Paul since he didn’t have school. We had such a great day together!!

So great that you were able to focus on connections in February. 🙂 I agree, I also don’t any month just to slip away. Life is short.

I’ll be traveling home to see family in March, so I am very excited!

February was pretty good to me! I don’t have any complaints. So far, this year has been juuuust fine and I want it to stay that way, haha. I don’t have a lot going on in March! This is going to be a really low-key year for me – no huge travel plans – but I’m trying to find happiness in the little moments.
