We stayed at the house this whole weekend, and I LOVED it.
Of course, there were the usual chores and activities but I enjoyed being at home/yard this weekend. It’s understandable since last week was hard and the weekend before I was recouping from the roadtrip.
Pats on the back for myself:
Tidied the house as well as dusted and vacuumed. The windows are opened but the POLLEN is serious. Thankfully, it rained and beat some pollen down on Saturday.
L and I went through allllll of her papers (school worksheets, artwork, random) and chucked the whole bunch.
T put together a menu for next week, shared the ingredients list with me, and the kids and I shopped at Aldi. About $200 but our cart was FULL. I’m starting to like Aldi more and more.
We finished the 1000 piece puzzle from the Longwood Gardens!

The kids and I did some water color. I find it a nice distraction for them. And myself.
I planned the first three chapters of Tia Lola book that my Spanish 3 honors students will be reading till the end of the school year.
I went outside, multiple times.
I had minimal use of my phone. That made me feel so much better. I think the puzzle, the water color, my new planner, and being outside in warmer weather served as dopamine hits without me feeling the need to check the phone.
A nap on Sunday afternoon. R went down for a nap, L went somewhere with T, and we took a sweet nap.
The last but not the least: L rode her bike without training wheels for the very. first. time! 🥹
