We stayed at the house this whole weekend, and I LOVED it.

Of course, there were the usual chores and activities but I enjoyed being at home/yard this weekend. It’s understandable since last week was hard and the weekend before I was recouping from the roadtrip.

Pats on the back for myself:

Tidied the house as well as dusted and vacuumed. The windows are opened but the POLLEN is serious. Thankfully, it rained and beat some pollen down on Saturday.

L and I went through allllll of her papers (school worksheets, artwork, random) and chucked the whole bunch.

T put together a menu for next week, shared the ingredients list with me, and the kids and I shopped at Aldi. About $200 but our cart was FULL. I’m starting to like Aldi more and more.

We finished the 1000 piece puzzle from the Longwood Gardens!

About 25 hours of my life (felt like it, not really sure)

The kids and I did some water color. I find it a nice distraction for them. And myself.

I planned the first three chapters of Tia Lola book that my Spanish 3 honors students will be reading till the end of the school year.

I went outside, multiple times.

I had minimal use of my phone. That made me feel so much better. I think the puzzle, the water color, my new planner, and being outside in warmer weather served as dopamine hits without me feeling the need to check the phone.

A nap on Sunday afternoon. R went down for a nap, L went somewhere with T, and we took a sweet nap.

The last but not the least: L rode her bike without training wheels for the very. first. time! 🥹

I also think that you deserve pats on the back for yourself, Daria.

What a beautiful puzzle. Anything about 300 pieces and I AM OUT. I cannot imagine the 3,000 piece ones Melissa does!!! I get frustrated too easily.

I love weekends at home to recuperate and get caught up on “life.”

No training wheels is such an exciting milestone 🙂

What a gorgeous puzzle! I feel the same way, how analog activities can feel like a dopamine hit – even better than the phone can provide. Awww, look at that cutie on her bike!

Yay for your brand new bike rider! (you might want to raise the seat a bit– makes it way easier)

Congratulations to L, that is always exciting. That puzzle is really pretty. I’m glad you found some time to relax as well as bringing some order to the house, and a nap is always a good idea.
