Got this cool dude a new haircut to prepare for kindergarten graduation.

Library re-opening. Our town’s library was closed from last October till this past Saturday for some major renovations. I don’t have a picture but the new look is updated and clean.
Pedicures + ice cream with my daughter

Kindergarten graduation was on Monday! I have a million pictures but they all have other kids in them. R wore a palm trees shirt and green shorts plus hand-me-down “theater” shoes (what he calls them).

I had to sprint to work right after the ceremony since I was giving my last final exam. R wanted sushi as his celebratory dinner so I stopped by Shop Rite on my way back home to get a sushi tray.
After the kindergartners received their “diplomas”, parents were shown a video of what the kids want to be when they grow up. It was bitter-sweet and hilarious. Ballerinas, police officers, fire fighters, doctors. An aspiring model. A video game creator. An ice cream truck operator. A taxi driver. A nail lady. Many aspiring teachers and nurses (yesssssss). A YouTuber. A few astronauts and fashion designers. And the only future engineer – my son 🤣❤️

Books/movies
My husband and I finished “Half Man” (HBO). It was an excellent series that explored themes of toxic relationships, co-dependency, and family drama in a working-class setting in Scotland. The creator of Half Man also wrote “Baby Reindeer” which is another wonderful dark comedy-drama series.
My husband and I are in process of watching Widow’s Bay. Also very good but set in a New England town.
In regard to books…
Started Lucy Foley’s “The Paris Apartment.” Dark and enjoyable. But am finding the language a bit simplistic. This is my second Lucy Foley novel. The first one had something to with a wedding in bog country.. Oh, the Guest List!

On audio…it’s “Amazing Grace Adams.”Don’t let the cover fool you. It’s tragic.

A feeling of overwhelm I wrote about in my other post is slowly lifting. I have two more days of school left- today we work till 12:45 and tomorrow : same plus graduation! I truly can’t wait to see my students in their caps and gowns. I just hope the weather holds out. Last year it was so hot I almost fainted after roasting in my academic gown outside for two hours in 90 degree heat.
