I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday if you celebrate Thanksgiving.

A big shoutout to my husband, who made the entire Thanksgiving dinner by himself. It’s his thing, and he does an amazing job making the turkey and the sides. For dessert we had warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

We sat down to eat at around 3pm. We had five people come over to share the Thanksgiving meal with us.

After the guests left, T and I cleaned up the kitchen, put the kids to bed, and watched “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”- a 1987 classic with Steve Martin. I’ve never seen it before. A good, heartfelt movie, set during Thanksgiving.

This month I am participating in #NaBloPoMo2025. A running list of participants can be found on San’s NaBloPoMo page as well as more information about this lovely initiative on this NaBloPoMo page.

That sounds like a wonderful day! I watched planes, trains, and automobiles a few years ago with Phil and loved it. You guys should consider watching the documentary about John Candy called ‘I Like Me’ on prime. It is so good! And so so sad as he died at age 44.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving, too! The food was so good and there were no controversial topics discussed. Ahead of the holiday, at the urging of my therapist, I asked my parents to ask my siblings to not discuss politics. We have different views from my family and my nervous system cannot handle conflict right now. I am glad I set that boundary ahead of the holiday!!

That’s one of my fav movies. I wonder if I can convince my people to watch it tonight. I don’t think the little girls have ever seen it. Hooray for a husband that does ALL the cooking. That’s a major departure from the world I live in. We did have a relatively nice T-giving . . . aside from an ‘incident’ that maybe we will laugh at one day. We’re not there yet. (I blogged about it today).

Also, thinks for the gloves. So warm and cozy!

I was just the other day wondering if the kids would like Trains, Planes, and Automobiles. I definitely want to rewatch it, even if they don’t. Another great one is Uncle Buck. Sounds like a lovely Thanksgiving! Hooray!
