Things I write about on this blog

Daily life. I write about the daily grind of two working parents (me and my partner). Sometimes it’s great, sometimes it sucks.

Parenting. The joys and the burdens of parenting, solo parenting, parenting while working full time, kindergarten and second grade. Kids’ after school activities.

New Jersey. We are in central NJ so it inevitably shows up in my posts.

Travel. When I travel with kids, I write about it. It can be great and it can be ugly. Usually it’s both!

Physical and emotional states of mid life. Perimenopause, moods, and whatever comes with that.

Reflecting on my Soviet childhood and family that still lives in Russia. I want to dig deeper into that part of my life but my self-preservation instinct is too strong. Maybe someday I’ll write in more detail.

    I love your travel posts with your kids. I would love to read more about your childhood in the Soviet Union, but of course you should only write about things that are comfortable for you.

    Let’s see if this comment posts twice. It’s doing that to me sometimes with wordpress blogs. Why? NO IDEA.

    So much to write about, the busiest of times for you! I get very nostalgic when I read your blog, for when my kids were that age- so much blog fodder and great way to capture memories. Glad I found you on NaBloPoMo!

    Yes, I actually would like to know the topics you write about in this blog, Daria.

    I know that it definitely takes me more than 1 day to use chalks to draw the flags of each and every country.

    I think you maintain a very diverse blog and I love reading about your travels, especially solo with young children. What amazing memories you are creating.

    These are all relatable topics that are right up my alley. Aside from a childhood in the Soviet Union – that I’m interested to learn more about, if you ever opt to share. I cannot imagine what that was like. Love the flags out of chalk. Very ambitious.

    I’ll chime in that I’m interested in your childhood experiences. I have a client who grew up in the Soviet Union, and sometimes she’ll talk about her life there. It’s really interesting!
