Last week was kind of hard but I was committed to doing the “what I wore” post so I made sure to take those picture every work day.
Before I comment on my outfits, let me preface by saying that I like clothes. I like to look put together and it is *surprisingly* good for my mental health.
I tend to favor clothes from these retailers: Nordstrom Rack and Bloomingdale’s. I wish I had buckets of money to update my wardrobe from scratch but… no.
Disclaimer: all photos have filters on them because I am insecure, and clothes and people overall look better with filters.
Also, note to self: move stuff out of the way when you are taking selfies in your coat closet in the hallway. Too late now, will do better next time.
Also, note to self #2: smile..next time?
Tuesday, 10/21. Full day of work. Jiu jitsu lesson after work for my 5 year old son. Solo parenting because T was away on business.

I felt good in this outfit. It had a long day but I felt comfy yet put together in both working and taking my youngest kid to activities after work. I was warm, and nothing was tugging on/at me. Yes to this outfit!
Wednesday, 10/22. Full day of work. Piano for my daughter after work. Solo parenting.

I also felt good in this outfit. Blazer and pants: Bloomingdale’s; boots and sweater: Rack. The blazer is a bit loose on me but I kind of like it. It’s very soft and warm. Felt good in this outfit: definitely warm and comfortable, except the feet, those are Sam Edelman booties and, at the end of the day, my feet were hurting a little.
Thursday, 10/23. More of the same, work a full day, jiu jitsu lesson for my son, AND I had a close friend over for a very informal dinner. Solo parenting.

This was a sweater dress in deep red from Nordstrom Rack (bought in 2024). Knee-high boots from Nordstroms (2021). Coat is Avec Les Filles from Nordstrom Rack (2025). I felt good in the outfit, albeit the boots are not the most comfortable (Vince Camuto, 2021). I aim to wear what I have as much as I can, so I want to wear those boots more often but… they are not that comfortable.
Friday, 10/24. Same as before: a full day of work, except I got to go straight home – T was back from his business trip and took R to his BJJ instead of me.

Clothes: blazer from Bloomingdale’s (2025), sweater (2024) from *I forget the company* on Facebook (2024), pants are from Nordstrom (NYDJ, 2021), and booties are from Bloomingdales (2025). This is the first time I wore these booties and they were very comfortable. I envision wearing them a lot, with mustard colored tights, a skirt, a sweater dress, jeans, etc.
And bonus…. Today, Sunday, I wore:

Bloomingdale’s blazer, some T-shirt from Amazon, jeans from Rack and *not pictured, lug sole boots from Rack.

And that’s a wrap on what I wore this past week and weekend.
And, as we are getting ready for a new week, I made my outfits today for the upcoming week:

What is your relationship with clothes? Do you like it? Does it impact your mental health? Do you make your outfits in advance or do you wing it? I’d love to know.
