I googled the “currently” blog posts and the Internet spit out this resource: 102 verbs to use in the “currently” posts (plus 27 adjectives, aka feelings).

Watching … project Runway with my husband. Gawking (with jealousy) at the creativity of the designers who are competing (this weekend). Laughing at and loving everyone’s quirks!

Listening to fall jazz playlist on Spotify.

Planning… this coming week. T is away for a few days, so I’m solo parenting. I prepped nicely this weekend, getting the house and the fridge to its baseline. Maybe even a little above the baseline. Floors vacuumed and mopped, groceries bought, lunches planned. I am obviously still running on adrenaline from feeling overwhelmed all last week so I am trying, really trying to pay it forward to future Daria.

Reading… I am in between books right now so I read a magazine yesterday.

Thinking about… our “get cultured” events (the term comes from Monica Packer from About Progress). In essence, live theater events! I have scoured the schedules of the three theaters that are relatively near by and wrote down events that I’m interested in – mainly dance and circus. In total it’s 14 (!!!) events and theater is pricey, so I have to select ONE per month. Even that can get expensive.

Worried about… this week. First full week with students, first full week of having my kids in school, first full week of activities (one hour piano lesson on Wednesday, 45 minutes BJJ on Tuesday, Thursday, and maybe even Friday). First full week with T traveling. Ooooffffff. Wish me luck.

Celebrating… putting my sports clothes and sneakers into a duffel bag, next to R’s jiu jitsu gi. Also celebrating a good drop off today- smiling and waving. Even our freshly-minted kindergartner!

Second cup of coffee and breakfast

Do you do theater? Do you purchase tickets in advance or wing it?

How is your week looking? What are you planning, celebrating, worrying about?

Project Runway! I haven’t seen it in a few years, but I used to love it. I will have to go search for it! We don’t have theaters close by, but I would love to go if we did. I hope you have a great week!

We have a well regarded community theater in our town that I’m hoping to go to this fall. I usually buy tickets in advance. I’m not that spontaneous of a person. I hope you enjoy all of your shows

I know! Me, too. Besides, if one buys tickets close to the performance then the seats are too far away and I really can’t see very well.

    Good luck this week Daria!

I do love the theatre – well, I guess it depends on the play but generally I do. I always buy tickets in advance because I’m not as spontaneous a person as I would like!

Thank you, dear Nicole! Yesterday was great, today sucked. But it’s my own fault- I got hung up in blog land and… was a bit late for work… ugh

I am glad that the first day of school went well! Yay for kindergarten! I love the theater, but it really can be expensive. I got a season pass to the symphony one year and it was fun and cheaper but then I felt obligated to go to every one! Can you base it on the half off tickets, or are there certain ones you want to specifically go to?

Definitely specific one that I want to go to!! Dance performances and drums (Sa dance company and the Tao Drums and tango.) but I also like musicals and there is the Elf musical!.. and a NEW JERSEY Nutcracker??? Amazing.

The only theater I go to is the children’s theater! We go to a couple of shows each year. This winter we will go to the Grinch which has become an annual tradition. Will oddly opted not to go so it will just be Paul and me. Children’s theater is kind of perfect for me as the shows are usually <2-2.5 hours with am intermission. Adult theater productions often feel overly long for me!!

I’m currently on the way back from a conference in CA and am so very exhausted after some super long days and way too much talking. My voice is hoarse and I am hoping I’m not getting a cold because I have my 10 mile race this week so need to be healthy!!
