Memorial Day weekend is over and today I got back to teaching.

My green smoothie at sauna

Yesterday I went to the Korean sauna for a few hours, toasted my bones, sweated, read, napped, and had a Korean body scrub. It was an interesting experience to say the least…

I am feeling grateful. For roses, for Maya, for mornings with my son, for reading together with my daughter, for watching a show with T, for having time to just sit. For impromptu play dates, for naps, for sauna. For trampoline. For a chance to not set the alarm clock, and to stay up late a few evenings. For a mall visit. For space. For time. For work to get back to.

This upcoming week (if you can call it that) is work, jiu jitsu lessons, and a baseball game with my sister-friend B and my kids. That would be my first time at a baseball game EVER.

Fueling up before his jiu jitsu class. He already had some cashews, two small mandarin oranges, and now apple sauce. I always, always bring snacks from home before his class.

I would love to try a Korean sauna and your acupressure mat is on my list of things to try as well. In the meantime, I am inspired by you to schedule myself a massage for this weekend.

You are unquestionably on my gratitude list, friend!

Sounds like you’ve had a great few days – hooray! That sauna looks so nice. So many lovely things to be grateful for. Hope this week has gone well. R eats such a healthy diet for a 4 year old – O is SUCH a picky eater. Enjoy the baseball game 🙂

I wonder how Korean sauna is different from other sauna styles. I dont think I have ever come across a Korean one.

Hmmm that’s a good question. I don’t know… In each sauna, there is a certain “scent” or characteristic, for example, there is a quartz one, a eucalyptus one, a clay one… Not sure how it’s different from, say, Finnish or Russian sauna..
