Money. In March I complained that March was spendy, now I am saying the same thing about April. Biggest categories: 1. mortgage, 2. shopping, 3. investments, 4. auto maintenance and 5. home improvement. Major purchases such as a trampoline playground for the kids (our previous one broke), car brakes, more trees fell. Lawn guys, gutter guys… Road trip. Stuff we bought during said trip.
May. I am again making a goal to reign in shopping and restaurants but who knows? I (we)was not very successful in March or April.
May has a few events. It’s my birthday month, the kids have spring concerts, plus “I love you the whole brunch” event for moms at R’s preschool. Next week is teacher appreciation week. Mothers’ day (which I am honestly not big on). Memorial Day weekend. Oh, open enrollment.
In May, the school year is wrapping up, I usually start editing my final exams and closing out another year of my career. My high school will have events, too, and I like seeing how excited the students get since they see the end of the year approaching.
How was April for you? What are you looking forward to in May?
