I’m sorry you’re in a funk. You know I know what that is like. I love your list of positives. Sometimes just numbering them in a long line is so helpful. We’re having a heatwave and it’s 78* in my house so I’m very happy for cracked (or wide open) windows letting in the (by now thankfully) cooler air. And bird sounds are the best. It sounds like it’s truly spring there. Yay!

Also your daughter does have perfect eyebrows.

I must be the season for being in a funk. Although I hope I am getting out of it too. Yay for T cooking all week. It’s amazing what a little nature, like bird sounds can do to lift mood.

Well… it’s easy to be in a funk right now, if you look around at what’s going on in the world. It’s so hard to strike a balance, but we do have to look closer to home to see all the good that’s there. It definitely helps to make a list- you’ve probably seen Elisabeth’s guest post today. Putting our attention on the good things is helpful. You have some good ones! Not making dinners is huge, and tea- why is tea so delicious and soothing? It’s always on my gratitude list.

Wow, your daughter does have perfect eyebrows.

I was also excited to see a new Friendship Paradox episode! I’m going to listen to it today, didn’t have a chance yesterday.

Her eyebrows = my life goal. They really are perfect. And why do so many boys I know have the longest, darkest, thickest eyelashes??

I’m sorry you’ve been struggling; winter is so long and dark and cold and full of sickness and I find it takes me a while to recover from that. I hope your upcoming trips are a nice break and change of pace ❤

I think when I’m in a funk these days I try harder to lean back on the simple familiar things that bring me comfort. Like a warm mug of coffee, extra comfortable clothes, a hot shower, scrambling eggs for dinner and calling it done. You’ve got a great list here!

Your list is lovely and right here and those snapshots from Lamott are so beautiful…

    As are your babies…

I hope your funk dissipates soon, Daria!

Oh, you really lifted my spirits when you mentioned The Friendship Paradox! Thank you, friend. ❤ (And then to read Nicole’s comment – heart exploding!)

I hate funks and I feel like I’ve been in one, too. Between the news and stuff happening at work and just LIFE BEING LIFE… it’s hard. A gratitude list does help, though!

March has been a funk for so many of us. So I guess you weren’t alone in it.

That dibber from T looks amazing. What a treat.
