Karen reflected on Black Friday so that go me thinking…
Do I NEED anything? Of course not. Do I WANT a few covered pieces? Why, yes. Nothing overly expensive but not cheap, either. I am stingy by nature but I do not mind spending money on quality stuff, once in a while.
This morning I made a list of brands/websites that I will visit and possibly purchase from:
L.L. Bean. There are some button-down shirts I like. Say, this one. Or this?
Nordstroms. I still have not purchased my green velvet dress but who knows? Maybe I will. Also, they have a Bernardo winter coat that I’ve been wanting for a while.
Pottery Barn. They have pillow cases with cats on them!! How can one resist?
Amazon. No wish list items here but I will still take a peek. T will order all the gifts for the kids for Christmas.
Sephora. I use plant-based squalene face products (Biossance) and will see if those will go on sale.
And that is IT. No impulse purchases. Will not go to the mall. It feels to me that Black Friday is not a DAY but a MONTH since many stores already have reduced their prices weeks before actual Black Friday. I might as well purchase the LL Bean shirt now instead of waiting for Black Friday.
What about you? Black Friday or Buy Nothing Day?
Pic: a card I picked at yoga this morning – isn’t it wonderful?!
