Giving myself permission to be all over the place with this post.

😵‍💫 My throat is on fire and my voice is pretty much gone.

👍 Came home at around 3:10 today and made a big mug of hot earl grey with milk and honey. Chicken is in the oven, pearl couscous – on the stove and the vegetables are ready to go. I am a speed-cooker! But only for very basic dinners.

I have about an hour and a half before R has to be picked up and two hours for L.

😮‍💨This week I am just muscling through. Getting through my work days and going home and collapsing in a heap. Craving coziness. Mugs of tea. Being warm. Comfort food. Hugs.

😳I am also feeling unfocused. I forgot my classroom keys – twice! Had to borrow them from the sweetest lady who is also our school administrative assistant, and that’s a pain. Today I forgot to bring a mug for tea and a water bottle! I survived but I have been a little bit of a mess. But I did make a nice dinner on Monday – salmon, chili, lentils. To eat and to take to work.

🧘‍♀️I have gone to yoga. Because -$

😇 Tonight… is a parents and teachers together association meeting. And yoga from 7:30-8:30. And somewhere before and during is pick up, dinner, baths, teeth and books.

Ugh. I’m tired.

I’ll leave you with a picture of speedy dinner.

I am sorry you are sick (again?) and feel so tired.
Hoping the weekend will come sooner than later and that you get some rest.

    Dinner sounds good.

Speedy dinners are the best. Last night I nuked a potato and cooked some ground beef and then just mixed them together with salt and pepper and called it dinner. I guess I needed something green, but eh! I hope you are feeling better today! What a pain.

Oh dear, I hope you get better soon. It sounds like some rest is in order but it’s difficult to get. dinner looks like just what you need—simple, healthy food.
