T texted me earlier today: “what did you guys do today?” Me: “feels like absolutely nothing.”

It was a good day but we didn’t go anywhere. We stayed here, at the villagio, and did the beach in the morning, bummed around the apartment for a bit, went to lunch, took a nap, walked to the shops, came back, went to the pool, had dinner, played, went to bed. Oh and laundry 🧺

It’s rough not having a car… I’m jealous of all the people that zoomed past us as we walked to the shops this afternoon.

We have three days left, and we will spend them here. I am feeling a bit bored because we are not visiting places and learning but I know that once the school year starts I will miss these lazy days and the pool and the beach.

Seafood is excellent and very fresh
At the playground
R got a cut on his heel while swimming 😦
The morning she got stung by a jellyfish

Despite the cut and the sting, everything looks beautiful!

I think some down days in a beautiful environment makes sense! You have seen and done a lot during your time in Italy. Remind yourself that we are human ‘beings’ not human ‘doings’. Although the cuts and stings sound rough, it otherwise looks like a great day!!

I’m behind in commenting this week but have read all your posts and what a fun trip!!! I just showed my husband a bunch of pictures because he randomly said at dinner, I want to go to the Amalfi Coast. Haha. Why did T go back early again? Work? What does he do for work? I can’t recall if you’ve ever mentioned. Does he work remotely or in person?

Hi Kae! Amalfi was beautiful albeit a bit packed. But just a little. Tony works for Wyndham hotels and travels for work, so he had to get back to go on a business trip, plus, we have a kitty 🐈‍⬛

How wonderfully relaxing everything looks! Perfect way to finish up!

Hope the cut and sting heal up soon and your travels back are happy too.

Having some time at the “home base” sounds wonderful, and everything looks so beautiful. Ouch! The cut and the sting don’t sound like fun though. I hope they feel better soon.

I am glad you got some down time… it doesn’t sound like “doing nothing” to me. What a beautiful place to just hang out before coming home. You’ve already done/seen so much
BTW, I loved how Lisa said, remember we’re human ‘beings’, not ‘doings’ 😉
