Today is Juneteenth, so first and foremost, I acknowledge the struggles that African American people went through to get to freedom.
Where to start. This week is kind of magical- the kids still have school but I am done for the year. I find myself with lots of hours to fill.
There is always, always, work to be done around the house: kitchen, laundry, meals, garden.
I am almost convalescing. Reading, taking naps, meditating, sitting outside. My job is not THAT hard. But I guess I did get burned out this year. That’s something that I do not like to acknowledge.
In no particular order, here is what I have been spending my time on this week:
Sitting outside, morning and evenings
Pulling weeds and watering garden
Reading (!) books and blogs
Just roaming around the house and yard
Reorganizing + decluttering a little
Walking
Watching a show with T
Now for some images so I can anchor this post in time. Days tend to blur one into another if I don’t anchor them with something.
