An average day is a good day! Here is what happened, and we are still not done with today.

Voted!! Took both kids with me.

From Kendra Adachi – the Lazy Genius podcast. Ask yourself “what is happening in the next two months that feels overwhelming or does not yet have a plan?” Once you have that information, make three labels: “make it matter, make it easy, or make it go away.”

After voting, went to Panera for some cookies and coffee, with kiddos.

Got R his haircut.

Went to Michael’s store to get some crafty stuff for R’s “Thankful Tree“project from preschool. It’s a school-to-home connection project so it’s expected that the whole family contributes.

Made the project! I think it’s cute. R is thankful for firefighters, trucks, cars, and cereal.

Health: not feeling well and annoying people around me with dry cough. The tickle in my throat just will not go away! Taking Robutussin in liquid gel form.

Bribed the kids with lollipops to go and STAY outside. It’s 70 and sunny. They are on the playground in the back yard while I’m typing this.

An average truly can be a good day.

Aside from the cough, it DOES sound like a good day! We didn’t have an election here this time. Nice to get a break from it I guess.

You meant to say “an average but productive (!) day is a good day”! I agree 🙂

In my book every day you get to vote is an amazing day. What a privilege. I love that you took the kids.

    also crafting is fun too.

    hope you feel better soon.

Average days really are the best! I hope your cough leaves you soon though, what a pain.

This sounds like a good day, but hopefully your cough will clear up soon. So annoying.

70 and sunny on a day with no school or work is bound to be a great day. Getting the whole family involved in a preschool project sounds like a good way to create fun memories. We have a terrible situation that just cropped up. It’s a true nightmare (discussed in my post today) and I only wish I could make it easy, make it matter, or make it go away.
