Hmm, this is turning sort of into a Memorial Day long weekend daily journal. I already documented our winter break of 2024 so maybe this is a second opportunity to do a daily journal…
The morning started with me and R hanging out. He wakes up, goes downstairs, wraps himself into blankets, and lies on the living room couch to wait for me. So stinking cute. I come down shortly after I hear him wake up, make coffee, and sit down next to him. He then tells me stories about what he dreamed of, if anything, and about transformers.

The kids had gymnastics in the morning, and I had time to myself. Finished my book, painted with some water colors, wrote out the day in One.Focus planner. After the kids came back from gymnastics, we went to the library, got some books, found a new boba place, went to Home Depot and bought five rose bushes.

We have a flowerbed that had a wild flower mix there last year but this year it’s just weeds. Plus wild flowers may not have been the right choice for the side of the house. At some point, they all fought for space, and it got messy-looking. I spent a good portion of Saturday afternoon digging holes and planting the roses.
