This post is a good representation of our typical Sundays. Chill and basic.

We were up early, around 6:30, with me going downstairs and putting the kettle on. The kids came down shortly after, and I made oatmeal for R. L stated she was not not hungry yet. No problem.

T then made his signature Sunday morning pancake breakfast for us.

Daddy’s breakfast 🥞

After bumming around some, R wanted to watch Star Wars Return of the Jedi so we put it on for him. L watched a little, lost interest and started doing her piano. She is starting to play with both hands!

I went to the store to pick up a gallon of milk and some yoghurt for the week. Also got a few practical things for my Russian friend K, who had a baby ten days ago (!!). She was coming over our house for a visit with her oldest, who is R’s age. I met her at jiu jitsu and we became friends.

The kids played, K and I had tea, cookies and a nice chat.

This was initially L’s project but somehow T got stuck with it 🥰

We then bummed around some more, did some laundry, put away the laundry from last weekend (!!), went for a walk, and then T brought them to a local playground.

By 2pm we were not sure what to do. The kids were whiny so I decided to make muffins with them. Something to do, you know?

Dinner was pork, asparagus and beans, cooked by T. We were all done with the world by then. R went to sleep early, L and I watched 30 minutes of The Polar Express, then went to bed.

I have a full week ahead of me but nothing too major. Typical stuff: work, family, house, yoga.

Your Sunday sounds nice and chill! We had Sunday school in the morning and swimming lessons in the afternoon. We also went to target to buy Christmas gifts for a donation program at church. There was also so. Much. Wrestling. I FaceTimed with my parents and they were just rolling around and sitting on each other. Gah. This is the vibe around our house if we stay in for long… I’m guessing your boy/girl combo prevents this from happening in your house!!

I love how easy it is to snuggle in and call in an early night now that it is so dark so early.

Sounds like the perfect calming breath before a busy week. Loved hearing about L moving away from movie to piano!

And T’s tee in the first pic is all kinds of cool.

A lovely Sunday and once again, L is wearing something I wish I could have in adult size. That leopard print jacket is so cute!
