This morning we took off quite early with an objective to visit Cetara and Vietri sul Mare. Amalfi coast has many towns, and it’s not possible to visit them all in one week, but two, in addition to your base, is totally manageable.

From Minori, we took a ferry boat to Cetara. Thirty minutes later we were there.

And we are off!

Cetara is a lovely, small coastal town. We found a playground, roamed around, had coffee, roamed around some more, bought a honeydew from a vendor, went to the beach, and boarded the boat to Vietri sul mare.

Vietri sul mare looked like a relatively big town, not so much a village. Vietri is famous for its whimsical mosaic patterns all over town. Sections of walls, windows, porches are decorated with mosaics. Really pretty.

After Vietri we took the boat back to Minori – our home base. Had leftovers for lunch, the everyone except me took a nap.

After nap it was beach time and playground time, with showers and dinner.

I am happy to report that R finally-finally- ate a significant amount at dinner. It was fettuccine bolognese so I am adding it to the list of foods he eats. I continue to worry about his eating habits so instances when he does eat make me so happy. We ordered melon with prosciutto for an appetizer and he ate that, too. 🙏

Dinner was good in general but it could not beat other restaurants we already tried. Still, we enjoyed all the dishes they brought us.

T is at the comic con that is happening tonight in Maiori – the next town over. What are the odds!

Tomorrow is our last full day before T leaves to the US on Monday morning and the kids and I continue south to Calabria for another week.

Those mosaics are so gorgeous! Sounds like you all had a great day. I am glad R ate better! His body must be adapting to being on a different time zone. Paul is not a great eater and it can stress me out at times so I can relate!!

Those little towns are so cute and are giving me a tearing to go back to Italy soon!! When you get back, I want to pick your brain about the places you stayed. I am hoping to live in one for a month but would not be sure if there is enough to do in one town alone.
